Established in 1964, Kunapipi Ski Club Lodge provides self-catered family accommodation in the quiet area of South Perisher away from the noisy and busy main valley. It offers a calm, comfortable and relaxing atmosphere for the exclusive service of its members and their guests and encourages the involvement of all family members in skiing and alpine activities.

Access HansOverSnow.jpg

The lodge can be accessed by the Ski Tube or private vehicle into the valley (however no overnight parking is permitted in the valley during the snow season). Winter access from the Ski Tube to the lodge is via over-snow transport or by foot (a distance of approximately 1.2km) however, this is likely to change as an all weather loop road is to be constructed linking all lodges to the valley center.

Daily skier access is either directly down to the ski slopes or to the valley center via a gentle downhill ski run from the door of the lodge. Of an evening, return to the lodge is either directly from the Mt Perisher area, on skis and involving a short walk or from the center valley area via a walk along a clearly marked track or by using over-snow transport.

Valley Facilities

During winter there is a doctor in the valley as well as a chemist and the lodge has a St Johns First Aid kit to handle minor incidents.

To date the lodge has been used primarily in winter and the building of a major resort complex, by the Persiher Blue consortium next year, adjacent to the Ski Tube, while not affecting us directly, should result in an increased range of year round activities in the valley beside the usual bush walking, bike riding, etc.

For those wishing to dine out there are a range of top class restaurants, which operate in the valley during the winter season and these are in reasonable walking distance from the lodge.

The lodge is also conveniently located adjacent to many cross country ski trails which wind around the southern and eastern parts of Perisher Valley. These tracks during the summer months are an ideal way to explore the beauty and tranquility of Perisher and the natural environment.

Perisher Blue provide further details about the valley.

Accommodation?ensuite.jpgbed.jpg

The new accommodation provides each bedroom with a double bed and a single trundle?bed, to allow 2 people to sleep together or separately, as well as ensuite facilities which include a shower with hip bath, vanity and toilet.

The rooms are spacious with thermostatic heating.
